Teaching methods of the teacher that you observed 

         In each lesson, teachers will focus on giving students time to do exercises or solve problems on their own. Before going into the content of the lesson, the teacher always reviews the previous topics that have been learned to test students' memory and understanding. When entering the lesson content, the teacher will explain the main points in a clear, easy to understand manner. Next, show students how to solve the problems on the board and explain them step by step. The teacher will show how to solve problems step by step, such as step a. Representation, let x be the units digit and let y be the tens digit. Step b. Equations x + y = 10, etc. After teaching, there are always exercises for students to take their time to do. Then have students volunteer to answer the exercises in front of the class. At the end of the lesson, the teacher will summarize the content of the lesson in a quick, easy to understand manner. And if there will be a test in the next lesson, the teacher will always tell the students to prepare first.


Their learning materials and innovation

         Specialized blackboards used for drawing graphs are used in every classroom as teaching media for drawing graphs to create graphs of linear equations or inequalities with two variables in the content of the lesson. To make it easier to draw graphs and have equal distance between the points. and to make it easier for students to learn in the classroom. Students also have notebooks specifically used for drawing graphs. It is a notebook with equal grids like a unit grid for drawing graphs of the answers in that problem.



Sources of learning and technology used by the teachers 

         Teachers use content from the MATH for Innovative Minds 8 book from the Philippines as the main content for teaching. And use the book Practical MATH from the Philippines to find problems to use in the lesson or content. The technology used is PowerPoint as a teaching media. Use the chalkboard to explain or show students how to do it. Use a laptop to connect to a television. and other technological devices to support teaching. 


Authentic assessment used by the teachers 

         The most frequently used assessment form that teachers use in the classroom is Allowing students to solve problems from classroom exercises that appear on the television screen or on the board after having learned the content at the beginning of the lesson. Then have students volunteer to come out and answer in front of the class. And the teacher summarizes the solution to the students again to review the students' understanding. There is also a short mini test in the classroom to evaluate and test student understanding, it is an evaluation another form that occurs in class.

Teaching Plan

 Teaching plan related to mathematics major     When writing lesson plans, I must use the curriculum of SLU BEdS - Laboratory High School Department in the Philippines. This is a school curriculum compiled from school mathematics textbooks in the Philippines. When I write a lesson plan, I refer to the MATH for Innovative Minds 8 textbook from the Philippines as the main teaching material. and use the Practical MATH book to find problems to use in class. I need to review and understand the content first in order to write a lesson plan and think of classroom activities step by step in sequence. As an exchange student, I need to prepare 2 lesson plans related to the lesson before teaching. After preparing the lesson plans, I need to take them to my mentor teacher to check for accuracy. Teaching Practice

 Report on the teaching practice 1. Procedures of teaching      Step 1: Greet students. And have the students perform a religious ceremony.      Step 2: Introduce the content to be taught. Along with telling the objectives that students will get from learning in this lesson.      Step 3: Enter the content of the lesson. The teacher will explain the similarities and differences between the content in this lesson and the previous lesson. Explain the meaning and method of solving the problem step by step and draw and discuss the graph that is the answer to the problem.      Step 4: Give an example and show how to solve the problem together with the class.      Step 5: Assign students to try to solve the given problem on their own.      Step 6: Have students volunteer to show how to do it in front of the class.
